My dolls

Each MB Reborn Studio doll I sell is individually handcrafted. Small variations in colouring, skin tone, hair, rooting, weighting and other handmade details are part of the individual nature of the artwork and are not, by themselves, defects.

I make every reasonable effort to describe and photograph each doll accurately. Colours may look slightly different depending on lighting and the screen used to view the website. This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty or materially different from their description.

The relevant product listing will state any important age, handling or collector information for that particular doll.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. I accept an order when I send you confirmation that it has been accepted. Because many dolls are one-of-a-kind, an item can occasionally become unavailable before I accept an order; if payment has already been taken in that situation, I will refund it.

I may correct obvious pricing, description or technical errors before accepting an order.

Prices & payment

Prices are shown in GBP. I will show or agree the total item price, any applicable taxes and delivery charges before you commit to the purchase.

Available payment methods are shown at checkout or agreed directly with me for a commission. Full card details are handled by the relevant payment provider and I do not intentionally store them on the MB Reborn Studio web server.

Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms. If a doll arrives damaged, is faulty or materially differs from its description, please contact me as soon as reasonably possible. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, remedies may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or refund.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, original photographs, artwork, text, branding and other original material on this website belong to me, Marzena Burek trading as MB Reborn Studio, and may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without my permission.

Complaints & governing law

If you have a problem with an order, please email me at [email protected]. I will try to resolve genuine complaints fairly and promptly.

These Terms are governed by the applicable law of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights or any rights you may have to bring a claim in a court that the law makes available to you.

Delivery

I offer UK delivery and may offer international delivery to selected destinations. Delivery charges and the estimated timeframe will be shown or agreed with you before purchase.

Unless I agree a different timeframe with you, goods will be delivered within the legally required period. I may send higher-value dolls using tracked and/or appropriately insured delivery.

International customers may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country unless expressly stated otherwise before purchase.

Ready-made dolls bought online

If you buy a ready-made doll online, you normally have the right to cancel without giving a reason. You must tell me within 14 days of receiving the doll. After telling me, you then have a further 14 days to return it.

Unless the doll is faulty, damaged on arrival or incorrect, you are responsible for the cost and safe return of the item. I strongly recommend tracked and appropriately insured return delivery.

Where a lawful cancellation is made, I will refund the price paid and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option originally offered. If you chose a more expensive delivery method, the additional delivery cost is not refundable.

You may inspect the doll as you reasonably could in a shop. If it has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and condition, I may make a lawful deduction to reflect any genuine reduction in value.

Please return the doll securely packaged with any certificates, clothing, accessories and other items supplied with it.

Studio viewing & collection

Collection from the Hemel Hempstead studio is available by prior appointment.

If you place and pay for an order online before collection, it remains a distance sale. If you view a doll at the studio and complete the purchase there, I do not offer change-of-mind returns unless I expressly agree otherwise. Your statutory rights for faulty or misdescribed goods remain unaffected.

How refunds are made

Where a refund is due following a distance-sale cancellation, I will make it within the applicable legal timeframe. I may wait until the returned goods are received, or until you provide evidence that they have been sent back, where the law allows this. I will normally make the refund using the original payment method unless I agree another method with you.

Information I may collect

I may collect your name, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number, order or enquiry details, payment status, correspondence and basic technical information needed for website security and operation.

I do not need to receive or store your full payment-card number where payment is processed by an external payment provider.

Why I use it

I may use your information to respond to enquiries, process and fulfil orders, arrange delivery or collection, manage commissions, keep accounting and business records, prevent fraud or misuse, meet legal obligations and communicate with you about an existing order.

Depending on the situation, the legal basis may be steps taken before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, legitimate interests or consent where consent is appropriate.

Who I may share it with

Where reasonably necessary, I may share information with service providers such as payment processors, banks, postal or courier companies, website or email providers, accounting or professional advisers and public authorities where required by law.

I only share information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

How long I keep it

I keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable accounting, tax, contractual and legal obligations. I will not keep routine enquiries that do not lead to a sale longer than reasonably needed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability. To exercise a right, contact me at [email protected].

You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
